How Bathroom Bidet Sprayers Can Save Our Children's Education

A fact that I came across this week shocked me, although I had a feeling it was fairly high. The number in question is how many teaching days are lost through sickness every year. Now like all these statistics we read on the internet, the situation is hard to fathom. Do the figures relate to just America or all western countries?
In this case we are given 2.7 million teaching days are lost through sickness. But for the purpose of simplicity let's just say the number is very high across America, Britain, Canada and Australia.
When teachers are sick, classes are disrupted. Our children's education and flow are interrupted. And the remaining staff are overburdened trying to cover for their sick colleagues.
So what can be done to boost attendance and limit sick days?
I think you might know what's coming next. If germs cause sickness, and many people don't wash their hands after using toilet paper, it makes sense to upgrade all bathrooms in schools and universities to use bathroom bidet sprayers. Some people might argue that touching bathroom sprayers in public bathrooms will also carry germs and bacteria. Yes, they would be right, but not as much as allowing the bacteria from feces to get onto their hands.
Can bathroom bidet sprayers solve all sickness problems?
Of course they can't. But installing bathroom bidet sprayers would definitely be an improvement on using toilet paper in terms of reducing the spread of germs and bacteria. We would still need to encourage more teachers to wash their hands properly. That's just common sense.
How much better would our children finish their education if schools used bathroom bidet sprayers?
It is impossible to say of course. But if our children are sick less. If their teachers are fitter and healthier from reduced exposure to germs and bacteria, then of course they will be happier in their work and more productive. This would lead to helping them become better teachers and reduce all disruptions that are common when teachers are sick.
Some may argue that teachers would still have sick days even if they used bathroom mini sprayers. Of course they would. But these sick days would be reduced. You can't argue with science that a reduced exposure to bacteria would not result in less sick days.
Long versus Short Term Teacher Absences
The most shocking statistics I found were the numbers of long-term absences and early retirements of teachers. Could this be down to burn out? Or are the repetitive short-term illnesses slowly wearing down our teachers? Perhaps the most interesting fact I found was that some teaching authorities are starting to realize that the majority of absences are coming from the one and two day absences due to stomach problems and sniffles. As we have shown above, these are due to poor hand hygiene and toilet paper use. Dr. Tony Bowers of Cambridge University agrees that the most serious disruptions in our schools come from the one and two day offs teachers take. Long term absences can be accounted for. But the one offs and last minute absences are the hardest to cover create the most disruption.
How Can Schools Reduce Teaching Absences?
So if poor hand hygiene causes so many sick days, and toilet paper use results in poor hand hygiene, it makes sense to look at the potential benefits of replacing toilet paper in our schools with bathroom toilet sprayers. If we want to control the spread of viruses and bacteria, then the smartest action would be to reduce our exposure to those bacteria in the first place. Therefore, that means not letting our fingers come into contact with the bacteria when using toilet paper.
Of course proper hand washing is a very good way of limiting the spread of bacteria. Consequently, schools and universities need to make sure staff have easy access to wash basins, soap and drying facilities. All too often bathrooms are void of the necessary soap and hand towels.
However, the biggest difference we can make in our lives, and it's staring us in the face, is using a device which uses water to clean our bodies, not putting up with smearing around with toilet paper.
Time for a total re-think in our bathroom habits wouldn't you say?

Are You Making These Mistakes With Your Family's Hygiene And Health?

Do you know how many sick days are lost from work and education through poor hygiene? Let me tell you, it is massive.
How Many People Actually Wash Their Hands After Using Toilet Paper?
Most people only use a thickness of a few sheets to wipe themselves after the toilet. But research tells us that the germs in 'poop' comes through as many as 10 sheets of toilet paper. So correct hand hygiene has never been more important.
Or upgrade to bathroom bidet sprayers for a much more productive and healthier 2016 for you and all your family.
Do you know the consequences of using toilet paper and poor hand hygiene?
So many nasty illnesses start with poor hand hygiene. Salmonella, campylobacter, MRSA, flu, diarrhea and sickness, the common cold, impetigo, are just some of the viruses and infections passed between people who do not wash their hands.
Your children are most likely to get very ill from poor hand hygiene. The elderly can potentially die from food borne illnesses caused by bacteria and viruses. The unfortunate part is that many of these illnesses can be prevented by proper hand washing.
Basic Skin Hygiene Facts
Hands are the single most effective method of spreading germs. But over 50% of all workers do not know the basics of hand washing.
At least 40 percent of workers do not wash their hands often, or long enough, to protect against the spread of germs.
Approximately 65 percent of maintenance and construction workers and 47 percent of office workers wash their hands less than five times a day. The average hand washing duration is less than 10 seconds, missing important places where germs are usually found. These areas being under your fingernails and on the backs of your hands.
Since our hands are responsible for the spread of over 80% of common infectious diseases, effective hand hygiene, coupled with the reduction in use of toilet paper, is the smartest, most cost-effective means of infection control in the workplace. Billions would be saved in lost productivity just by replacing toilet paper with bidet sprayers for the toilet.
How Can Bathroom Mini Sprayers Help Your Children Health and Hygiene?
Well, for a start sprayers put a barrier between nasty bacteria and your children's hands. If they are not forced to use toilet paper, then their hands will not come into contact with as much bacteria usually associated with toilet paper. Yes, you still need to educate your children on correct hand washing practices. But the smart choice of using a shattaf sprayer, as they are sometimes called, will eradicate a lot of the germs in the first place.
The Added Benefits of Bathroom Toilet Sprayers
Of course the benefits related to using bathroom hose sprayers are not only about a reduction in bacteria. The abrasions caused by toilet paper on your children's young skin can be ever so painful. Why would you want to continue putting them through this paid, when a refreshing jet of water from a bidet-sprayer can cleanse them properly in seconds, without the painful abrasions?
Finally, think about the massive savings you will make on your weekly shopping bill when you do not have to buy massive packs of jumbo toilet roll anymore.
Make a difference to your family's health and productivity in 2016.

My Life As a House (Aka: "Casa" Court Appointed Special Advocate)

Some years ago I went through an extensive training to be an advocate for children going through the court system. It was early days of my symptoms of my condition and though I was, per usual, juggling my life, I was determined to finish the training and get certified as a 'CASA" (which means "house" in Spanish... hence my reference to it!)
That was years ago, but I've reflected on several occasions the power of 'standing in the gap' for someone. In this case, it was children often neglected or abused that had little influence or power on their own.
But you might be wondering:
"What the heck does being an advocate have to do with having an AutoImmune Disorder?"
Everything, in fact.
Let's start out with some (sobering) details:
In 2011 a new estimate states that 1 in 12 women and one in 20 men in the U.S. will develop some sort of autoimmune disease in their lifetime.
What is interesting to note is women are more likely to be diagnosed or experience symptoms than men. Why is that?
There are different theories on this Phenomenon what is beginning to gain more recognition of what I'll call the "Auto Immune Personality."
Do you know this woman?
She's the one that does more on 2 cylinders that others do on 4.
The first to help, the last to go home and burns the candle at both ends.
But there can be another characteristic with women, even when they're faced with a major health condition.
And that is they hand over their power to their health care professionals. Even successful, strong women such as business owners do it. But this can be a costly mistake. They can lose the ability to advocate or as some folks would call it "stand up for" oneself
I strongly urge you to be different and consider a new paradigm. And that is to PARTNER with your Practitioners. This then requires you to ask questions, speak up when you have a question and voice when you have a concern. And share the details of what you feel is important, with your health care professionals.
Is that hard for you? You're not alone!
Remember no one knows your body like you do. Especially at this time, you'll be required to use your words, express your concerns and basically be the boss of you.
This is with family members, friends, medical professionals and in your business or work place.
More than ever, YOU need to be there for YOU.

The Carnage of Foolishness

Choices abound when it comes to your fitness. Many people will blindly head off to a gym and load up on everything that is offered only to walk away in 4 to 6 short weeks worse than when they started. From there, it's all down hill.
Choices. Everyone has them and everyone gets them. It's the one thing you have an abundance of that's free. What you are not free from though is the consequences of those choices.
Often I hear of people saying that they are addicted to drugs; food; gambling; porn; sex; etc. They claim it is a disease. Here's the facts. The choice is not a disease but the results of your choices can lead to disease. And that's where the Carnage of Foolishness comes in.
All too often I see people wanting to blame the substance or activity as the cause of their downfall or disease. When in fact the real cause is their choice and the decision to follow through with that choice and it's consequences. Ya' can't blame choice - blame your action.
It's no different with fitness. Too many times I see individuals just go fly off the handle and head to the gym and begin doing "whatever". I also see many of these same people getting on the latest diet. And it is these same people, that in 4-6 weeks afterwards, have stopped all activity and have fallen into a much worse condition than when the started.
Why do people make New Year's resolutions? It's certainly not because they enjoy it. For the most part, individuals make resolutions because they need to make some serious changes in their health and lifestyle. And for the most part, that includes weight loss. So let's go with that for a moment, shall we?
Weight loss is tough. Speaking as a strength and fitness professional with over 34 years, I can tell you there is no fool proof, one size fits all, approach. It really is an individual thing.
Weight loss is typically accompanied by high blood pressure, elevated "bad" cholesterol, elevated fasted blood glucose levels, elevated triglycerides, elevated HA1C, homocysteine, and even c-reactive protein. Not everyone has all of these at the same time, but then again, some do.
These are serious issues and they play a major role in people making resolutions. Then they head off to the gym, enroll in every class, join the local weight loss program, and then sit back and wait for the magic to happen. Only, it doesn't.
Each week, they step on the scale only to find that either their weight loss has been paltry at best, or they have gained weight. Not too mention the fact they are tired, their joints hurt (especially their knees and back), they hurt getting out of bed and they no longer sleep well. Hey, isn't fitness great? wink wink, nudge, nudge.
So what happens next? The average individual isn't going to tough it out. This isn't military training so what the heck! It's quitting time.
And once the Quit has been decided on, all caution is thrown out the window and it's Katy Bar the Door! It's time to soothe your pains and disappointments with donuts, pizza, soft drinks and chips. What's the use, right?
Then all those things you went to the gym to change are now going to get worse - far worse. Now the carnage begins!
What happened? Same thing that happens to 92% of people that attempt to make a lifestyle change? They have no idea what they are doing and they trusted the first person they saw or the first commercial they hear. Unfortunately, that's foolishness.
And foolishness breeds carnage.
Your health and wellness should be your number one priority in life. Because without it, you have nothing. You spend a lot of money taking care of your car; you spend a lot of money on your yearly CPA to help get your taxes ready; you spend a lot of money of your attorney, should you need one; you spend a lot of money on your clothes, fashion, make up and probably even your house and furnishings. Yet you go the cheapest possible route when it comes to your health and wellness.
Why is that? Because even today, in 2015, people still do not value what they do not see. And unfortunately, big pharma commercials, the ones you see on T.V., have lead many to believe that if you are sick, there is a pill that can fix it. So why would you ever think to go to the gym? Just swallow a pill and it will all be better, right? Uhmmm, no, not quite. Have you ever really paid attention to all the massive side effects of those drugs? Probably not. Because as humans we only want to hear the good side. We are only looking to feel good. And we don't hear about what can go wrong.
At the gym, under the guidance of a credentialed and qualified strength and fitness coach, you will spend some money. It's an investment but its a wise one. A qualified coach will take you through a training system that is right for you and will ultimately get you the results you are after.
Will it take time? Yes
Will you be sore? From time to time, yes
Will you be tired? Another big yes
Will you get aggravated? Who doesn't?
Will you learn something about yourself? You better believe it.
Quitting reveals character. A coach won't let you quit. You will feel like it. Everyone does. It's part of our nature to quit. But you can over come that with attitude, determination, discipline and intestinal fortitude, and a good coach.
Foolishness will bring about carnage. It's not pretty and it takes time to recover but you can always recover. You have to want it though.
Do you want to recover?
The choice is yours.

Breakthroughs to a Better You

A breakthrough is a sudden discovery or achievement. Breakthroughs are the ability to exceed beyond your own ideas and decisions about something and they are the stepping-stones to a more powerful and expansive YOU. They expand your perspective and enlarge "your world". They provide greater vision. Breakthroughs are the pools of motivation to swim in if you want change. They are the foundation for achieving metal flexibility, which is critical to maintaining balance in the face of stressors. But breakthroughs don't happen by sitting around and waiting. So how do breakthroughs happen?
They begin with a leap into something different. They become possible when you are willing to let go of what "you know". They happen by releasing of all that feels controllable and familiar, when you take yourself out of your comfort zone and live in the spaces of new and different. They are made possible when you attach action to an interest to learn, or do, something out of your ordinary. They are the recipes for you becoming extraordinary. But how many of us are actually willing to give it a go?
It took me a long time to get this and I understand how scary it all is to actually put to practice. The picture in this article is of me in the air, and no, this stuff is did not come easy and "natural". I did not have a background in gymnastics or acrobatics when I began. So how did I do it? I did exactly what I referenced in the last paragraph. I took my interest in the activity and attached it with the action of giving it a go.
I remember the first time I stepped into an acrobatics class and thought, "what the hell am I thinking?" I nearly sabotaged my opportunity for a breakthrough by succumbing to doubt and walking out. Something pushed me beyond my resistances however, and I stuck it out. That one decision to stick it out changed everything.
By giving myself that opportunity, I provided myself the possibility for many breakthroughs. Acrobatics puts all my thoughts about myself, and my fears, in my face with no escape. It requires a tremendous amount of letting go of what "I know" and requires me to exist in the realm of unknown with TRUST. Don't get me wrong it is hasn't been easy but it has given me a new level of awakening.
I encourage all of you to immerse yourself in different and new. Yes, it's scary. Yes, it's awkward, but that's the place of opportunity. Comfortable is not always fulfilling, especially if you are struggling with depression, discontent and/or dissatisfaction in your life, and comfortable cannot give you growth. Expansion only happens in the space of the unknown. So, take a chance on yourself and this playground called your life. You have everything to gain and lots of negative self talk to lose!
Good luck and feel free to share some of your breakthroughs with me.

Human Fetal Tissue - Are You Consuming It?

Can it possibly be true that human fetal tissue is now in some foods, personal care products and vaccines? Surely it would have to say so on any label or informed consent form, right?
Ah, no.
Amazingly, both the number and type of products are increasing which contain human fetal tissue or contain ingredients made from them. Naturally, most don't include 'human fetal tissue' in their ingredient list, and you'd certainly not expect to find them in some of the places where they're actually used.
For example, some processed food companies use flavor enhancers made from them; some vaccines, particularly those against viruses, are grown using fetal cell tissue; some medications and some personal care products are also involved.
To raise your awareness further, you can check some online resources, including endalldisease.com, ewg.org, healthfreedomalliance.org, mercola.com and nvic.org. Meanwhile, here is a description of the type of products that may contain it:
1. Some soft drinks, various bottled beverages including coffee, bottled water, flavored bottled water, some juices, bottled teas, energy beverages.
2. Coffee creamers, particular brands of instant soups, bouillon cubes, catsups, sauces, seasoning, instant noodles.
3. Ten different brands of chewing gum, bubble gum.
4. At least twelve brands of candies and cough drops.
5. Beauty products, especially anti-wrinkle creams, restorative creams.
6. Vaccines from at least four different companies; fetal cells are present in a measles/mumps/rubella; measles/mumps/rubella/chickenpox; chickenpox; polio; hepatitis-A; hepatitis A & B combination; shingles; rabies.
7. Medications, including those for cystic fibrosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
There are a number of concerns people hold about consuming fetal tissue. One is the possibility of setting up auto-immune responses. These are reactions in the vaccinated person's own immune system when it gets confused in carrying out its job: to determine what is 'me' (my own tissue) and what is 'not me' and therefore should be attacked and eliminated.
Other objections to consuming human fetal tissue include moral and/or ethical grounds. Still others simply think it's a bad idea.
If your response fits into any of those categories, your best bet is to follow up with your own research.
Last, if you don't want to consume fetal tissue, don't rely on this list only, as it is by no means complete. Also, manufacturers change ingredients frequently. If you want to avoid consuming human fetal tissue, your best bet is to research any product you purchase that you think might qualify for this list..
Meanwhile, at least if you avoid purchasing processed food altogether, you will avoid consuming it in food.

You Are Losing Time And Cash On Doctor Visits

Strategies For A Much Better Doctor Visit
1. Take as many health details as is possible with you in order to provide evidence of your current condition, particularly for a brand new appointment or even a consult with a specialist. Go to your medical center, laboratory and family physician's business office to obtain a record. It will save your physician valuable time and also occasionally prevents an additional office visit.
2. Bring all the physical containers for prescription medications. Although a list is of help, the actual containers disclose the quantity prescribed at any given time, dosage, and also if there are refills remaining. There will be absolutely no more speculating with regards to your "small yellow tablet." Because there are a lot of generic drugs often the identical medicine may appear in numerous distinct forms as well as dimensions dependent on the particular supplier. From now on you will always be on the same page while discussing a particular medicine. You would also be amazed at the numerous mistakes on the containers made by the druggist.
3. Generate a listing of concerns/needs prior to the appointment. In reality, it might be wise to inform the individual setting up the session exactly what aspects you have to talk about. This is simply not the appropriate time to declare that it is "private." The staff all presumes everything is private within the doctor's office. It will help people be ready with planning, tools, and also allocating an appropriate space. In fact, they have already heard many of your current issues previously. Obviously when it is very delicate simply inform the staff of the length of time you need in order to talk about your current private issue.
4. Make sure to stay with a single part of your body for each appointment unless of course a total physical is being conducted. The majority of consultations are scheduled for periods of a quarter-hour. Generally this is sufficient for handling the easy issues like sores, upper respiratory problems, and urinary problems as good examples. Do not think twice about requesting a longer time. Your doctor would prefer to understand in advance exactly what the goals will be.
5. Request medication, excuses for the work place as well as the school, and also paper work to fill out at the start of your doctor appointment instead of at the conclusion. Obviously, another request is fine when it is forgotten at the time you depart. You could provide a listing of medicines requiring refill to the doctor at the start of the appointment as well. Once again, interaction will help everybody have their requirements satisfied.
6. Be as realistic as possible in your demands. When you begin a conversation about a subject which is not connected to the initial issue scheduled for and also would like answers to your questions, that simply leaves a shorter period available for other issues. For instance, when you are there to get a pap smear and also a gynecological examination yet begin with a throbbing headache problem which takes a full physical and also a complete background, do not anticipate that everything will be completed in a single appointment. Definitely focus on what is actually most important that particular day. Occasionally issues turn out to be more essential, signs and symptoms more serious than when the initial appointment or follow-through was set. Simply inform the staff and physician immediately that issues have evolved. This way they are able to remain on their timetable and also it is possible to have the primary issue resolved.
7. Do not depart the clinic without having informed somebody when you are not pleased with the services. The majority of doctors and their personnel presume things are running okay unless informed otherwise. It is really easier to resolve the issue, reply to an inquiry or even a problem with the service immediately when any info is new. When you are not comfortable discussing the problem or cannot remain to discuss it, compose a fast note. A lot of things are delicate and also intense on an emotional level. You can easily misinterpret instructions, reasons behind tests, or even the intention of the doctor's comments. They really are concerned about your feelings.
8. It is easier to complete the visit promptly and also manage documents when all your data is right. Inform the staff when you relocate, get a brand new phone number, or have new medical care insurance. Definitely take the insurance coverage cards along with you.
9. I understand everybody is occupied and also very busy. The primary reason why doctors are behind schedule is actually that people show up late. Yes, additional factors may play a role like phone calls and also extremely ill people. Simply remember that while the day moves along the issue becomes heightened. If you have to come in and get out rapidly make sure to reserve an initial or even the 2nd scheduled appointment in the early morning or afternoon.
10. Always be adaptable. Medical offices exist in order to help the patients. Occasionally terrible news, a sad mishap, or even a severe medical problem takes a longer time and also more attention from the personnel. They cannot rush somebody away that is distraught. Try to be aware that when it is you, you will definitely get the additional time and also consideration required.

Tackling Dehydration - 3 Useful Remedies To Consider And 3 Basic Mistakes To Avoid

Water plays a vital role in many bodily functions and processes. It plays a significant part in dissolution and distribution of essential nutrients, vitamins, and mineral to the cells in our body. Digestion, metabolism, regulation of body temperature, lubrication of joints, and removal of toxins---the body relies heavily on water for performing these important functions.
Its role in body processes aside, water constitutes 90%-95% of vital organs like the brain and lungs and contributes around 65% of a healthy adult's body weight. In such a scenario, it is important to understand your body's hydration requirement and take steps to avoid fatigue, pain, and other dehydration-related problems.
Understanding Your Water Requirements
Even a 2% reduction in your body's water content can lead to impaired neuromuscular functions, reduced concentration, muscular cramps, and reduced endurance, along with many physical problems like dry throat, nausea, dizziness, and a constant feeling of fatigue.
Modern businesses follow a golden rule that can be applied to your health as well---you cannot manage what you do not measure. The first step towards avoiding hydration problems is to understand your body's water requirements.
An average individual loses around 2.5 liters of water on a daily basis. We lose around 700ml through sweating and exhalation, 100 ml through stool, around 1.5 liters through urine, and about 200 ml via normal perspiration. Out of the 2.5 liters that is lost, we recover around 750 ml from the organic foodstuffs that we eat throughout the day. The body's metabolic processes and reactions produce another 250 ml.
That means we need to drink around 1.5 liters of water on a daily basis just to ensure the body's water content is maintained. Of course, a lot depends on the external climate, and the individual's physical activity and metabolism as well.
3 Smart Ways to Avoid Dehydration
a. A Good-Quality Water Bottle in Hand
This may sound like a simplistic solution but carrying your own water supply is the easiest and cheapest way to avoid dehydration. Filtration bottles, insulated water cans, compact bottles that can be carried in your pocket or backpack, or sports bottles that help you stay hydrated during your fitness regimen---there are numerous options and choices depending on your preferences.
The biggest advantage of carrying your own bottle is that you can avoid issues like pain or fatigue when feeling excessively thirsty by simply taking sips at regular intervals. Of course, many people end up simply forgetting to consume water at regular intervals. This is where relying on modern technology can make a huge difference.
b. Smartphone Apps
The modern smartphone is a multi-faceted device that helps us track appointments and meetings, set alarms and reminders, and do a lot more. Today, you can use your smartphone to maintain a discipline hydration schedule throughout the day. Simple-to-use apps allow you to set reminders that will buzz you when it is time to take a sip. This will help you avoid a situation where you replenish your body's water levels only when you are feeling extremely thirsty.
Secondly, these apps help you measure your water consumption on a daily basis. This simple feature can help you assess the average quantity of water that your body needs to avoid the negative effects of dehydration. Collating data over a month or two will help you have a reliable strategy that is based on hard numbers and data.
Since water is the best source of energy for the body, these apps can help you integrate your water intake with your overall fitness and health regimen. Instead of focusing on mere cosmetic physical fitness, you can adopt a holistic approach where you eat the right foods and drink adequate water in a planned manner.
c. Look beyond Plain Water
While plain water is more than enough for your body's hydration requirements, there is no harm in checking out other options like flavored water, sports beverages, and others. Adding a dash of lemon and some honey can help you enjoy a healthy and refreshing buzz every time you take a sip. Alternatively, you can opt for diluted fruit juices or sports drinks that help your body recover vitamins and minerals as well.
While beverages like tea and coffee can help, it is advisable to stay away from caffeinated drinks to avoid harmful side effects and complications. If you plan on carrying juices or flavored drinks in your water bottle, make sure you opt for low-sugar drinks without chemical additives. Keep it natural to enjoy good health every time you replenish the water that your body has lost.
Important Mistakes to Avoid
There is no point tracking your water intake and using technology and other tools to maintain a disciplined schedule if you continue making these basic mistakes.
• Mistaking Thirst for Hunger.
A dehydrated body can make you feel hungry. Many people end up eating food when they ought to be replenishing fluids by drinking water. Try sipping some water every time you feel hungry despite eating well.
• Ignoring Exhaustion, Fatigue, and Stress.
A water-starved body will feel tired and fatigued. Instead of resting or taking a nap, try taking a water break instead.
• Underestimating the Impact of Dehydration
Studies have shown that a thirsty person will, along with discomfort, suffer from significant reduction in his or her physical and mental capacities. Loss of water weighing around 5% of your body weight can reduce your capacity to work by 30%. Researches indicate that dehydrated drivers are more likely to suffer from accidents and mishaps. Don't presume that staying thirsty will make you stronger or tougher. Replenish your fluids at the earliest.
With so many useful solutions at your disposal, following a hydration timetable has become a simple and hassle-free affair. Just stock up on accessories like water bottles and combine that with free apps to ensure your body never suffers from the pain of dehydration again.

Elements That Play a Role In Boosting Good Health

Healthy living is very important, especially in the modern world where diseases and illnesses seem to surround us. Plenty of modern conveniences and lifestyle changes have contributed to poor health that is to blame for the endless suffering a large number of people go through today as far as health is concerned. If you want to improve your health, there are key elements that you should think about for your approach to better living.
Diet
Your body is a result of what you eat. If you want to know how good your eating habits are, then you should take a good look at your body and interpret what you see. The skin is one of the best organs you can use to know how healthy you are. Diet is very important for good health and to make improvements, you should be cautious about everything that goes into your mouth. It is important to keep off processed foods, sugary foods and fatty foods as well. A healthy meal should be balanced in that it has protein, vitamins and carbohydrates. The way you prepare your food can also determine how healthy it is. Avoid using excessive cooking fat and choose low cholesterol cooking fat. You should also avoid using synthetic flavorings in your food and instead choose natural spices that are beneficial to health.
Still under diet, ensure you drink enough water every day to keep the body well hydrated for better organ functioning. A simple change to healthier meals can go a long way in improving your health in general. There are also health products that you can use to supplement vitamins and other nutrients and minerals. When selecting health products, choose those that have natural ingredients because they do not have any side effects and they offer other benefits to your body.
Exercise
Eating healthy is important, but it is more beneficial when combined with exercises. There is no better way of putting the food you eat to better use than through exercises. They improve your bodily functions such as blood circulation, metabolism, and improve cardiovascular health. When you exercise, you also manage to prevent fat storage that leads to weight gain and you are able to flush out toxins that can lead to diseases and faster aging. The health benefits of exercising are numerous making it important to come up with an exercise regime.
The good thing about exercising for better health is that you do not have to go to the gym and lift weights to enjoy the results. Even though this is still a good way of keeping healthy and fit, simple exercise you can do from home can also make huge improvements in your life. They can be anything from jumping rope, sit ups, press ups and others. Activities such as swimming, dancing, walking and jogging among others also make fun exercises that can improve your health and life in general. For better results, come up with an exercise program you can keep up with and make the exercise fun by mixing them up and changing on a regular basis to keep boredom at bay.

Health Benefits of Chiropractic Care Explained

Stiff muscles, sore backs, and a myriad of other issues plague the body as it ages. Chiropractic care is a commonly recommended treatment for these sorts of problems. However, many people don't understand the intricacies of chiropractic care, what it entails, or even why it can be beneficial. However, the following benefits can be just the relief from pain a person needs.
1. Relief from Sciatica
Sciatica is a condition affecting the sciatic nerve. It's an extraordinarily painful condition, and people take a number of different painkillers in order to deal with the pain. However, chiropractors can realign the vertebrae and move pressure away from the sciatic nerve, permanently putting a stop to the pain.
2. Fewer Headaches
Headaches are often caused by stress. However, the underlying cause of a stress headache is the tightening of muscles within the neck and back. If someone suffers from poor posture, this can aggravate the muscles of the back and neck and cause unnecessary tightness that may result in more headaches. Chiropractic adjustments can relieve this tension by treating the subluxations in the upper back and neck.
3. No Ear Infections
The nervous system is closely linked. When one nerve is pinched, others are also affected. The nerves that control the stomach and the brain are interlinked, so by treating the area around those nerves, chiropractors can cure ear aches and even reduce the symptoms of colic through chiropractic adjustments.
4. Lowered Blood Pressure
Hypertension can be caused by a number of different problems. However, the body is extraordinarily good at naturally treating imbalances as it seeks to restore homeostasis. Studies have found that vertebral subluxations can hinder the body's natural healing abilities; by treating these subluxations, the body can restore homeostasis on its own and low blood pressure naturally. This eliminates the need for chemicals to be added to the body in the form of pills.
5. Improved Mood
When a person is in chronic pain, it takes a toll on their psychological well-being. Regular chiropractic care can prevent and alleviate the causes of this pain, and over time the lack of pain will improve their mood. Pain relief releases dopamine and norepinephrin, both of which are hormones that provide a feeling of pleasure and contentment.
These five benefits are just the surface of what chiropractic care can do for you. Most everyone knows the pleasure of straightening out and popping their back after a long day of working over a desk. Chiropractic care is similar to that sensation across the entire body. It doesn't just feel good; chiropractic treatments improve a person's overall health and well-being.
Seek out a properly licensed and reputable chiropractor. Aside from the medical qualifications, your chiropractor should sit down and explain what is causing your pain and what the treatments will consist of. Proper procedure should consist of an x-ray and discussions about the result, as well as potential treatments and what to expect post-treatment. A chiropractor that goes above and beyond the call to put his patients at ease is a partner in your journey of healing.
